Carol Jenkins
Carol Jenkins is the acting president of SIT and serves as CEO of 91¾«Æ·, a role she has held since 2017. In this capacity, she oversees all high-level aspects of both 91¾«Æ· and SIT, including strategic direction, financial performance, programming, and operations. Jenkins has an extensive career in international education, nonprofit leadership, and business development. She first joined 91¾«Æ· in 2007 as senior director of international programs. She spent six years at the organization, including three years as head of the International Development and Exchange Unit, overseeing complex, multi-country initiatives.
Jenkins then became the executive director of grant acquisition and management in East Africa for World Vision, an organization she had previously worked at from 1993-2006. Jenkins’ career also includes serving as director of program development for International Medical Corps, where she led global technical business development teams to strengthen the quality of programming and funding. In 2014, Jenkins returned to 91¾«Æ· as executive vice president and three years later became CEO.
Over her career, Jenkins has served on the boards of InterAction and the Alliance for International Exchange, where she also served as board chair, contributing to sector-wide policy and advocacy leadership. She was a fellow at the Luskin School of Public Affairs at the University of California, Los Angeles, in 2012 and a participant in the Leadership Program at the International Civil Society Center.
